My Redeemer Lives

Job 19:25-27

I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes- I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!

Job knew God lived. God was real. God would one day be fully present with him, in the flesh. Just as God walked in the garden with Adam and Eve. Job knew he had a redeemer, he just didn’t know his name was Jesus.

Job had lost everything, and yet he rejoices in God his Savior. He longs for the day when he would see him face-to-face.

Oh Father, why am I down cast? Why is my spirit sad within me? My life is beautiful in every way, help me not to focus on the minor negative parts of my life but on the major parts of blessing and joy that you pour out upon me.

Someday soon I will see Jesus face-to-face, my God and Savior. The one who always loves me, encourages me and provides all my needs. How my heart yearns within me!

Prayer: How thankful I am for my Redeemer Jesus! Fill me with joy in my salvation and help me keep my eyes upon you in times of uncertainty and discouragement. I love you Father. Amen.

  1. Oh Sis! Those verses and words were exactly what I needed today!
“Create In me a clean heart, O God. And renew a right spirit within me!”
