My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip, He who watches over you will not slumber. Psalm 121:2-3
My grandson Clark was at a church event this week, with lots of people milling around. Being only 31 inches tall can make social gatherings quite challenging.
He would toddle over to another little person to visit for a bit, then move on to a shiny piece of furniture or something to climb up on. With a crowd of 50 people or more the casual observer would be concerned that this little boy could get lost, hurt or even become afraid, being all by himself in the middle of a bustling celebration.
However, Clark was not a bit fearful. Every once in a while he would look up, searching for his father’s face, see him and then continue on his way. He knew his father was watching over him. He would not let him get lost or stumble and fall.
At times, we too need to be reminded that our Heavenly Father is with us. He is watching over us. When life is busy and hectic and we feel lost in the midst of everything that needs to be done, look up. Know that your Heavenly Father sees you. He is close by, ready to lend a hand, waiting to help you when you stumble and fall.
When the Lord is your God, you are never out of His loving care or watchful eye. Just look up, he is waiting to reassure you today.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your loving care of me. How many times a day do you keep me from falling? Oh Lord, how blessed I am to be your child. I love you. Amen.
