I Will Be With Them

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16

”and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, ” 1 Peter 1:8

Walking around the corner of the porch towards the garden, we came upon a hedge. We could see past it and there were several more angled rows of this tightly trimmed hedge. Furthermore, several yards away, there danced a weeping willow tree with its branches playfully splashing in the beautiful pond filled with bright orange and golden fish swimming about. Yet, here we stood with nowhere to enter. However, shall we get to the water’s edge?

Gently from behind, a man approaches dressed in white, kindly speaking, “Would you like to enter through the garden to see the koi fish pond?” “Absolutely,” we chimed. The man entered through an opening in the hedge about three yards to our left. Aha! There is a way! We eagerly trusted and followed him through the garden passing beautiful flowers bursting with fragrance. He spoke words of encouragement to us, gently guiding us to the other side. We were filled with joy.

This vision came to me tonight as I thought about our loving Heavenly Father who has created each one of us and all the beauty on Earth and in the heavens to share with us. He even sent us His Son to greet us and guide us through the garden of life to one day join Him and His Father in the most beautiful garden in Heaven.

When Jesus gently comes to you and speaks, are you listening? Are you ready to say yes to Him and follow Him? Are you ready to let go of trying to do things your way, so that you can follow Jesus? Are you trusting Him throughout your walk through the garden of your life? Are you looking forward to the day that you can dwell with Him and His Father? I am!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I see all that You have created for our pleasure and I thank You for this beautiful life. I am humbled by Your Majesty. May we trust Your Son and follow Him throughout all of our days, so that we may one day be with You! In Your Son’s wonderful name, Jesus, Amen!

  1. Dear Tiffany, what a lovely vision! I was there in the garden with you and I said yes to your questions. I so long to be in that beautiful garden with Jesus , but I know he still has work for me to do here. May I continue to trust and follow him where he leads me each and every day. Blessings dear friend, Susan

    1. Oh, sweet Susan! That is so true: we still have work of His to do! Blessings to you too!
