“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21
I have been challenged this week every time that I have sat down to write. Wondering who am I and why should I be writing encouragement to others. This doubt prevented me from writing on Friday and over the weekend. This doubt was from the enemy. He caused many distractions and discouragement this weekend to prevent me from sharing God’s Word. Unfortunately, I listened to his evil whispers.
Thankfully, I was reminded yesterday that I am the Lord’s daughter. Because I have chosen to follow Christ, I am a Christian. Christian means little Christ. I am His little daughter. Therefore, what I say and do should reflect Christ. As I write, I am praying that God uses me to encourage others to not just read what I write, but to be drawn to Him and read His Words. If we spend our time with Him and hold true to His Word, then we shall overcome evil with good. I encourage you to open your Bible to the verses I quoted above and read the verses before and following. Ask God to speak to you: you will be encouraged!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your encouraging words in the Bible. You are such a loving Father who cares about every little detail of our lives. Thank You for teaching us what to be careful of and what You desire for us. May we have open ears and hearts to hear You! In Your Son’s precious name, Jesus! Amen.
