He Comforts Us

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”  2 Corinthians 1:3-4

What a blessing it is to freely gather with other believers, digging into the Word and encouraging one another through daily experiences whether triumphs or struggles. God guides and comforts us through our trials, so that we can comfort others going through difficult times. Our situations may not be similar, but God’s love covers the differences.

We can, at the very least, come alongside, listen, uphold one another through prayer, encourage each other through sharing scripture (1 Peter 4:12-13) and help one another be thankful (1 Thessalonians 5:18). The next time you see someone struggling, be mindful to be compassionate like our Heavenly Father and to comfort them as God surely has comforted you.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for comforting me throughout the struggles I have gone through these last few years. Shape and mold me to be more like Your Son, so that I can comfort others in Your love. Amen
