Never Be Shaken

“Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.” Psalm 112:6-8

Why is it that though we have so many promises being God’s children, we still struggle with being shaken by circumstances and fear bad news when received? I am thankful that when I recognize these responses that I can turn to our God who is Almighty and receive His strength and courage.

I will trust Him fully as I face my foes and bear His shield for protection. I will remember that I have His secure armor on when I begin to tremble. I will hold my breath to pause and pray before I speak, if at all. When my heart begins to race rapidly, I will recall that He has my heart and my life securely in His hands.

Prayer: Dear loving Father, thank You that when I feel insecure about the unknowns in my life, that all I need to do is remember that You are in control of every detail of my life. Amen
