A Bird’s Eye View

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:10-11 NKJV

One of the joys I have while driving through the country is seeing several large beautiful birds, most likely hawks, sitting at the top of the trees or on street light posts. This morning I saw a red-tailed hawk perched so high above the ground and I recalled the expression of a bird’s eye view. I thought about how our Lord watches from above and sees all that we are doing. I’m so thankful He has a bird’s eye view and that He is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent.

He knows all of our cares, worries and hurts. When our Heavenly Healer tells us to read His Word and follow His commands it is because He knows what is best and desires to strengthen us. I’m certain that we all have been to a physician for one thing or another. The doctor may have prescribed medicine, diet changes or physical therapy based on looking at the presenting symptoms. Most of us follow through with what the physician prescribed and we have great outcomes. It may be hard initially, but as time passes, we see results.

When we listen to the Almighty Physician and do what He prescribes, we see healing and blessings throughout our lives. He sees you, knows you and is with you. Be encouraged!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for being with us by protecting and guiding us through our days. To you be the glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
