The Key

I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

Revelation 3:8

Because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me. 1 Corinthians 16:9

And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Colossians 4:3

I have always been intrigued by old keys. They are quite beautiful and intricate. When I see them I think about their story and the doors or trunks that they have opened.

There is one key that is the most beautiful of all. He is Jesus. With Him as our Savior, we can do many things through His opened door. When isolated, we can feel His love and presence as we read His Word and pray to Him. We can remain calm during troubling times. We can share His peace to those living in fear by sharing with others in need what He has given us in abundance.

If you are not living this way, now is the time, that if you have not received His key, to take it to enter through His door of forgiveness for your salvation. Believe in Him and you shall be saved.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for those who may have just received you as their Savior. Help each one of us to share your encouraging Word and your love to those around us. Help us to be creative in our outreach. Thank you that we can trust in you at all times. In His precious’ name, Jesus. Amen.

  1. Thank you Tiffany. Isn’t it wonderful that God has given us the Key to eternal life? I so loved pulling out my Bible and reading your scripture references including the further reading of Colossians 4. What joy and comfort it is to read God’s Holy Word. I think this is what He had in mind when He gave it to us and preserved and protected it for more than 2,000 years! Praise God from whom ALL Blessings flow! During these troubling times , we need to remember Lamentations 3:22,23. Blessings and safety to you and yours.
